Booking and Payment
- If there is a situation like we can’t give houseboats, we will arrange another same category or similar type houseboat on normal days except peak holiday like Pooja holiday, Diwali and Christmas.
- If we can’t arrange any houseboats due to unavailability of houseboats in peak holidays, we will only refund your maximum advance payment and also, we will not take any liabilities other than advance.
- Only adults (18+) can book a houseboat.
- Please take all your belongings when you leave the houseboat. We cannot be responsible for lost items.
- Cooking by guests is not allowed. Additional food requests will incur extra charges, payable to the crew before you leave.
- Be respectful and well-behaved during your stay. Unruly behavior will be reported to the authorities.
- Any damage caused to the houseboat by guests must be compensated before disembarkation.
- International guests may be charged an extra INR 200 per person for C-Form filing (on some houseboats).
- Follow the crew’s instructions for safety during check-in/out, cruising, anchoring, and docking.
- Any unexpected expenses must be settled directly with the crew before disembarkation.
- Booking agents/tour operators must explain these terms and conditions to avoid misunderstandings.
- If you collect any houseboat pictures for your inquiry from our executives, you must share 1 or 2 images or the boat code in the email for reservation. Otherwise, there is a chance that the boat may be changed at the time of check-in, as we have multiple boats in the same category.
- The customer must ensure that the photos shown by travel agents/tour operators represent the boats operated by LEDD Hotels. We are not responsible for inaccuracies in this regard.
- We are not responsible for any loss, injury, or damage due to circumstances beyond our control.
- We do not have insurance, so please get your own travel insurance. Your belongings are at your own risk.
- Due to Covid-19, all guests must show a vaccination certificate or a valid RTPCR test report (taken within 72 hours of check-in) upon boarding.
- All guests (domestic and international) must register on the Kerala Govt. Covid19 Jagratha Portal before arriving in Kerala.
During Your Stay
- Check-in for a 21-hour houseboat stay is at 12 noon, and check-out is at 9 am. Late check-in won’t extend check-out time.
- Meals are a fixed menu with taxes included. AC operates only from 9 pm to 6 am (unless otherwise specified).
- The houseboat will be anchored from 5 pm to 6 am due to government regulations.
- Food is served only in the dining area. Eating in bedrooms or other areas is not allowed.
- If the AC breaks down, your stay will continue on non-AC terms, with a maximum compensation of Rs 1000.
- Parents are solely responsible for their children’s safety during the stay.
- Guests cannot stay or sleep outside their rooms after 10 pm for safety reasons.
- Staff will be on the houseboat (front area/upper deck) at night for guest and houseboat safety.
- Cruise hours are from 8 am to 9 am (before check-out) and 12 noon to 5 pm, with a 1-hour lunch break. Day cruises are fixed and weather-dependent.
- Soft drinks and other meek beverages are extra and payable on the spot. Alcohol is only for guests aged 21+.
After Your Stay
- Any disputes will be handled by the Vaikom courts only.
General Information
- In case of technical failure with your booked boat, we will offer a similar alternate boat. If a downgrade is necessary, charges may apply (except for upper deck vs. non-upper deck)
Adult & Child Policy
- Children below 5 years stay complimentary and share food with parents (no extra food, fish, coconut, or plates provided). Only one child is allowed per room.
- Children between 5 and 11 years old incur an extra charge (Rs 500-Rs 2,000) and must share a bed with parents.
- Children above 12 years old are considered adults and pay an extra person charge (Rs 500-Rs 3,500) with an extra mattress and food.
